Disability discrimination is one of the most difficult, but important, areas of law that HR practitioners will come across.

Drawing on nearly 20 years’ experience of disability discrimination claims, employment lawyer Laurie Anstis will explain how disability discrimination law works – both in theory and in practice. He will give practical tips on what employment tribunals expect of employers, and how to handle grievances relating to disability discrimination.

The webinar will cover:

• how employment tribunals decide whether or not a person is disabled;
• how far employers must go when making “reasonable adjustments”;
• the meaning of harassment, victimisation, direct and indirect disability discrimination; and
• when discrimination arising from a disability can be justified.

Laurie will also look at possible future developments of disability discrimination law, and how it might change over the next few years.
