One in five full time employees are working more than 60 hours a week, major new research on work-life balance commissioned by the Department for Education and Employment reveals this morning
The Institute of Employment Research at Warwick University has carried out the study which has involved interviewing 7,500 employees and 2,500 employers in both large and small companies.
Two thirds of men say that they cannot ask for more flexible working hours, says the research.
