HR directors earn an average of more than £50,000 a year, according to research.
A poll of 760 HR professionals, by Pay Magazine, shows that the average annual salary for an HR director is £50,585.
Almost three-quarters of HR directors are entitled to a bonus, the research shows.
Six per cent of HR directors earn more than £80,000 a year, while almost a fifth earn in excess of £60,000 annually.

Senior managers earn almost £35,000 a year, with three-quarters entitled to a bonus. Middle managers earn more than £28,000 annually, while administrators pocket
£23,000 a year.
