Training provider Video Arts has launched Diversity in action: the business of diversity – a brand new programme addressing the strategic importance of diversity and the business case for it.
The launch dovetails news from the Equal Opportunities Review that UK employers paid out £6.2m to workers in compensation for sex, disability, age and race discrimination last year – more than ever before.
Martin Addison, director of Video Arts, said: “Every boss knows that equality and diversity are important. Many, however, need help in translating the general concept into their everyday business and separating it from government enforcements.
“Putting in place a diversity strategy will take commitment, involvement and enthusiasm, but achieving success can transform an organisation, not only ethically and culturally, but also financially.”
