More
than 76 per cent of international organisations have redesigned or introduced
new HR systems over the past 12 months, according to an e-HR survey carried out
by research consultancy Business Intelligence. The report, which carried out
interviews at more than 91 international companies, also revealed that 90 per
cent of those that had not already done so, are planning to launch new systems
over the next year.
The
three main drivers for introducing better systems, include:
–
Engaging in more strategic services
Hopefully,
this will replace 60 per cent or so of transactional HR work with electronic
means to enable more business-oriented, consultancy-type support
–
Improved HR productivity and performance
Systems
improvements were cited by 35 per cent of respondents as the main reason in the
shift to better technologies
–
