ESOS employee scoops PA of the year award

by Personnel Today 29 Oct 2008
by Personnel Today 29 Oct 2008

Heidi Perrin, who works for West Midlands’ leading payroll and HR solutions provider, ESOS, has been crowned the ‘2008 PA of the Year’ by the Solihull Chamber of Commerce.

Heidi beat off stiff competition to receive the accolade at the Annual Members’ Employee Awards ceremony held recently at Nailcote Hall Hotel.

The event is one of the highlights of the Chamber’s calendar, in which Solihull employers recognise the value of their employees.

The Sales and Marketing Team at ESOS nominated Heidi for the award, which aims to recognise and reward a PA or secretary who has demonstrated outstanding professional qualities, organisational skills, discretion and efficiency.

Upon winning the award Heidi was presented with a framed certificate as well as a £200 gift voucher.

Heidi, who has worked at ESOS for two years, said:

“To win any award is lovely, but to win one nominated by the people you work with is even better. I didn’t even realise my colleagues had entered me until I opened the Sales Manager’s post one day and noticed a letter asking me to attend an interview!”

“To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement and it’s taken a few days to come down to earth! ESOS has given me a great opportunity to bring more to my role than a traditional PA is often able to, and I really enjoy the challenge – and rewards – that brings.”

In his nomination of Heidi, Paul Jewell, Sales & Marketing Manager at ESOS said:

“Heidi, as a complete package, makes the perfect secretary and has proved to be an indispensable key ingredient to ESOS’s recent success. Her immense professionalism and warm personality ensures that all professional interactions are handled perfectly. ESOS is really lucky to have an employee like Heidi, we would be lost without her.”

Jane Jackson, Solihull Chamber of Commerce Director said: “Modern PAs and Secretaries play a vital role in any business and are the unsung office heroes. I’d like to congratulate Heidi on winning the top prize and wish her and all the other applicants every success in their careers.”
