Law firm Eversheds has been appointed by Royal Mail to provide tribunal advisory services in the eastern half of England.
Eversheds has been providing a range of legal services to the organisation for the past eight years. The two-year contract will be delivered from Eversheds’ offices in Nottingham and Norwich.
The approach developed by Eversheds is based on a model used by its in-house claims management team, which has been shown to improve efficiency and enhance the consistency of its advisory services, the company claims.
Simon Tytherleigh, partner and human resources specialist at Eversheds, said: “The Royal Mail has an excellent reputation as a best practice employer, and our system for managing the tribunal process has been tailored to meet the specific needs of the business.”
Royal Mail is currently facing strike action in a row over a below-inflation pay offer.
