Jibber Jobber

Jibber Jobber started life as a job-search tool, created by frustrated job hunter Jason Alba. He subsequently added a networking function, followed by a blog. Today there’s even a subscription-only section, with access to articles from the likes of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. The site is still very much for the job hunter, so the blog is full of advice on ‘self-branding’. It’s useful content, for the HR professional either planning a career move of their own, or rethinking how they deal with job applicants.

Brazen Careerist

Brazen Careerist is a network of bloggers who are passionate about their careers. They come from all walks of life, and the variety of blogs reflects this. There are tips on how to dress for success – make sure your pinstripes match up – and a synopsis entitled ‘The five kick-ass benefits of entrepreneurial learning’. There’s also an intriguing piece entitled ‘One third of your co-workers are asleep on the job’, complete with tips on how to get a good night’s sleep. This is a fun blog – its authors’ enthusiasm is evident.
