The number of organisations that are optimistic about their business
conditions is still rising, according to research.
The quarterly Recruitment Confidence Index, developed by Cranfield School of
Management and the Daily Telegraph, in association with Personnel Today, shows
the net percentage of manufacturing organisations that are optimistic about
their business conditions has grown from +36 per cent last autumn, to +41 per
cent in the winter of 2003.
The proportion of both manufacturing and services organisations that are
expecting no changes in business conditions was relatively large – 40 per cent
and 37 per cent respectively.
