Train operator First ScotRail is running a wellbeing week this week, which will provide information and advice about health and fitness for its staff.
The week runs in conjunction with the Scottish Executive’s Healthy Working Lives for Scotland campaign, which gets under way next month.
Staff will receive a pack containing information about each aspect of the week, along with relevant contact numbers, useful tips and advice. Fresh fruit will also be delivered to stations and depots to encourage staff to eat more healthily.

Gym operator LA Fitness will be giving workers the opportunity to undergo a general health check – including blood pressure and body mass indexing – and to receive advice on healthy eating and exercise.
Fiona Irvine, HR director at First ScotRail, said: “The aim of the week is to provide staff with opportunities to seek advice and information about a host of areas that affect their daily working lives, from fitness to fatigue, health matters to incident support.”
