Today’s parent company, Reed Business Information, is launching a new free
website to help HR and recruitment professionals find recruitment advertising
and marketing agencies, and understand how to use them better.
The
website, called recruitment-marketing.co.uk, is launched this week. It is the
first of its kind to provide free advice and enable employers to make
comparisons between different types of advertising agencies.
Users
will be able to search numerous suppliers by client name, specialist services,
sector or named employee. They will also be able to draw up shortlists of
agencies capable of pitching for business. The site will provide guidance on
how to conduct an effective pitch process with agencies and includes examples
of good practice. The aim is to raise standards in terms of collaboration
between employers and agencies.
Director
of RBI recruitment Paul Sissons said: “We are confident this online directory
will quickly become a valuable resource for HR recruiters.

shows that recruiters feel well and truly in the dark when it comes to
identifying the most relevant advertising and marketing businesses for the
all-important shortlist. The result is often that as many as 10 agencies are
invited to pitch for the business, which wastes time and money on both sides.”
