The
GMB trade union has today re-elected its deputy general secretary Debbie
Coulter.
Coulter
was voted in with a two to one majority taking almost 50 per cent of the total
vote.
"I
am delighted with this result which is an unmistakable and clear endorsement of
the new GMB leadership. My priorities in Office are unchanged – to work with
the general secretary Kevin Curran, to deliver for GMB members at work, and to
ensure that their union is a dynamic, vibrant and growing trade union,"
she said.
Coulter
was originally elected deputy general secretary last May, but the GMB was
forced to re-run the election following a complaint to the certification
officer.
