More than a third of UK
managers believe their companies would provide a home computer with Internet
access for employees if they were encouraged by a Government backed scheme or
tax incentives according to research.
The survey by Internet service
provider PeoplePC also reveals that almost a third of workers believe that the
Government should help employers to provide Internet access for employees at
home.
The same figure would like their
employer to provide them with a home computer with Internet access.
The survey shows that 35 per cent of
employees rate a home computer as a better remuneration tool than health club
membership.
Thirty-two per cent of employees
would also be prepared to contribute to the cost of a home computer.
