A
leading disability charity has released a CD-Rom to help employers meet new
legislative obligations and reduce the effects of conditions such as repetitive
strain injury.
The
CD provides a step-by-step guide on how to make adjustments to computers making
them more accessible to staff with visual or physical impairments.
It
instructs employers on how to make reasonable adjustments to equipment as well
as offering advice on hardware and software adjustments.
Only
42 per cent of the UK’s seven million disabled people are currently working,
while around one in five became disabled while in a job.
