The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) has launched the second phase of its human capital strategy following seven months of development.
The banking and insurance giant has introduced a human capital ‘toolkit’ – an online suite of resources available to all of the group’s 1,000 HR staff in the UK.
It aims to deliver access to key information to help the HR function quickly identify issues within the business.
RBS has had an established human capital management (HCM) strategy for the past three years, but has been linking HR to business performance for many years.
The new toolkit is split into five main work streams; surveys, measurement, research, benchmarking and reporting.
Greig Aitken, head of employee research and measurement, told Personnel Today the launch was part of ensuring “the group had mechanisms in place to allow HR to access the right data”.
