Headhunters in Germany are no longer allowed to call people at work to offer them jobs with rival companies after a top court ruled such practices were unfair.
The Superior District Court in Stuttgart came down in favour of an information technology company which sued a headhunter for calling its employees at work.
The judge threw out an appeal against the ruling, when the headhunter from a personnel advisory company said the practice was normal and acceptable.
In the future, a company can take out an injunction to prevent the practice.
