Hertfordshire County Council HR chief Alan Warner is to leave the local authority at the end of May as part of a management shake-up.
Warner has been with the council for more than 20 years, most recently in the role of corporate director of people and property.
He regularly features in Personnel Today’s Top 40 HR Power Players list. As public lead on talent at the Public Sector People Managers’ Association, he has encouraged innovative thinking on how the sector should attract new recruits.
Two other members of the senior management team will also be leaving over the coming nine months, and the team will be restructured. The posts will be replaced with two new posts: director of resources and performance, and director of strategy and partnerships.
