Holiday bonus for UK businesses

UK
workers are forfeiting almost 2.8 million days leave by failing to take their
full holiday allowance.

The
Teletext Holiday survey found that four in 10 employees give up one day a year
– with a quarter giving up a week.

A
third of the 1,000 people questioned said they would rather lose a day’s
holiday than let their employers down, although 7 per cent simply forgot to
book days off in time.

The
unused holiday amounts to more than £192m of free work given to employers.
