Cardiff-based HR Consultant Services Ltd have opened new offices in Reading and London following demands from clients to provide services over the Severn Bridge.
The consultancy set up in 2005 now has consultants able to provide retained and project-based services from West Wales to the City of London. Company Director, Ryan Patey has outlined plans for further growth.
“We started to win business in Bristol, then Bath and Newbury and before we knew it, we had spanned the length of the M4. We now have as many clients in England as Wales, so it makes perfect sense to open offices where there is demand.
“This will hopefully produce fantastic opportunities for HR professionals in these regions and we will be undertaking a significant recruitment campaign – possibly looking at new directors to join our team and help take us forward on a regional level.”
On top of this growth, HR Consultant Services have also created a £1m fund to support loss-making businesses unable to fund effective business advice themselves.
“We created the Timebank Initiative in 2009 as we knew that Government support was aimed at high-growth businesses” stated Mr Patey. “We realised that loss-making businesses had nowhere to turn where they could get advice quickly. Thanks to contributions from some of the UK’s largest legal and accountancy firms, we are now able to fill this gap and more than 180 businesses have taken part.

“We don’t really know how big an impact this has had – but we hope that business owners feel , at the very least, supported during their time of need and feedback has been excellent”.
