Elaine Arden has been appointed group head of HR at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) group. Arden has been HR director for business services at RBS since 2005, covering 43,000 staff in 45 countries. She will take up her new position from 1 October 2010.

Domestic & General has appointed Lynne Swinson as learning and development manager. Swinson joined the Nottingham call centre from Alliance and Leicester and has over 15 years’ experience of managing learning and development. The role will involve analysing requirements, creating training solutions and evaluating the impact on the business to ensure efficiency.
Terence Perrin has joined BNP Paribas to head up the recruitment of European graduates and experienced staff in the UK. Perrin has been chair of the Association of Graduate Recruiters since 2007 and was formerly head of recruitment and resourcing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at JP Morgan Asset Management. He will be focusing on recruitment across Europe in his new role.
