The Health and Safety Commission has published a consultative document
setting out its proposals to reduce the toll of occupational asthma. Up to
3,000 new cases are recorded each year, often leading to severe disability.
"The strategy proposed is a holistic and interactive approach to the
problem," said director of health directorate at the HSE Sandra Caldwell.
