Specialist e-learning services provider, the Hampshire and Solent Learning
Hub (HSLH), has secured two major contracts from the Government’s University
for Industry (Ufi) for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and Berkshire.
The Hub has operated the learndirect contract in Hampshire for the past
three years and has enrolled more than 85,000 people on e-learning courses. It
works hand-in-hand with more than 50 learning centres from further education
colleges to community centres.
Berkshire has 9,000 people enrolled on e-learning courses, but the new Hub
wants to increase this figure by 10 per cent.
"Learndirect is a great initiative to be involved in – it is the
training solution of the future," says Denise Candy, CEO of HSLH. "It
enables people – young and old, experienced or complete beginners – to develop
through cost-effective training, available at a time, place and pace to suit
them."
