HR departments are being urged to crack down on sales of pirate DVDs in the workplace after a survey by market research firm Ipsos showed that 26% of people buy illegal copies of films at work.
The film industry has said that it now wants HR to help and warned that in extreme cases, company owners and directors could face prosecution for aiding and abetting copyright offences that take place on their premises.
