Indian call centre operator, Hero ITES, has pledged to increase its staff base in the UK following its multimillion pound acquisition of local operator, Telecom Service Centres (TSC).
TSC, which has more than 3,000 employees in nine UK sites, the majority in Scotland and Yorkshire, is to merge with HeroITES, a subsidiary of Hero Group. The new entity will be known as TSC Hero.
TSC management team will retain a significant investment in the business and will lead the new enlarged company.
Ken Hills, chief executive at TSC said: “Let me make this clear. This is not about taking UK jobs to India.

“On the contrary, TSC’s clients have all made positive decisions to locate their operations in the UK – while searching for additional services which complement existing arrangements,” he said.
“Now we will be able to offer a greater offshore capability which will actually be part of the company and managed by the TSC team,” Hills added.
