• An e-mail from Julian Burch of Expotel arrived in the office, commenting on the Institute of Personnel and Development’s (now, of course, the Chartered Institute) new black and gold logo. Members of the CIPD could now run the risk of being referred to as being “in-sipid” he wittily points out, adding “heaven forbid”.
