Jim McKenna, chief operating officer at outsourcing firm LogicaCMG, is to leave during the second half of 2008 to pursue a portfolio of interests.
Formerly group HR director of Logica, McKenna has agreed to stay on with the company until that time to create a new global outsourcing unit.
He has served as executive director since 1998 and has also performed a number of senior roles in his 14-year career at LogicaCMG.
McKenna is currently chairman of the Board of Governors at the University of East London, chairman of the ADAB Trust and a member of the UK government’s Senior Salaries Review Board.
McKenna is to become chairman at data communications firm Azzurri Communications, and chairman at charity, Rainer, at the end of the year.
The new outsourcing services division at LogicaCMG will incorporate around 9,000 employees working in onshore and offshore centres across the globe. The new division will be operational in key European geographies from the first quarter of this year and will be in place across the whole organisation by 2009.

Andy Green, CEO, said: “I am delighted that Jim McKenna has agreed to stay on for an interim period to help me lay the foundations for the next stage of the group’s development.
“McKenna has been instrumental in building the global delivery capability and his experience will be invaluable to me and the rest of the team as we establish the new outsourcing services division, which will focus on meeting the growing demand from our customers for globally competitive outsourcing services,” he said.
