Kineo launches ‘More for Less’ initiative

by Personnel Today 30 Jan 2009

At this year’s Learning Technologies event in London, Kineo is launching its new More for Less initiative, which includes a new Credit Crunch Survival Manual for training managers and a series of free practical seminars on how to develop cost-effective learning solutions.

Kineo will launch the initiative at a free lunchtime seminar on Thursday 29th January at the Learning Technologies event.

The latest American Society of Training & Development survey revealed that over 50% of training managers are being asked to do more with less.

According to the online survey:

  • 35% of organisations have reduced their training budgets

  • 49% of organisations have reduced training travel costs

  • 28% have moved classroom courses to online courses

  • 34% have frozen recruitment in training departments

  • 13% have made training staff redundant

To support hard pressed training managers Kineo, leaders in rapid e-learning, will be launching More for Less – A Credit Crunch Survival Manual.

This new manual provides advice on how to reduce costs and deliver more cost-effective training which is aligned to business needs, based on Kineo’s experience in driving out cost and improving efficiency in a wide range of private and public sector clients.

Kineo will be providing a practical demonstration of how to design and deliver online learning solutions using smart thinking and low cost tools, without compromising quality.

Kineo will be outlining some of the latest thinking in rapid e-learning with case studies that show how organisations are using innovative approaches to deliver quality learning with rapid tools, free tools and open source platforms such as Moodle.

Kineo Partner, Steve Rayson commented: “The budget pressures that are being experienced will force everyone to look at alternatives to traditional e-learning. The latest developments in rapid design and open source functionality are opening up exciting opportunities for learning and development teams to deliver real added value in their organisations.

“Some of our latest projects have delivered significant value at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions. Seeing is believing and we are really looking forward to demonstrating how smart thinking and innovative design can deliver award winning solutions quickly and at low cost.”
