Lambeth
Council is advising employers how to cut travel time and costs in the borough along
with decreasing traffic congestion and pollution.
The
council has produced an information pack for businesses, which says traffic
congestion costs businesses in Lambeth millions of pounds every year, as well
as lowering the quality of life in the borough.
The
travel plan aims to promote alternative, more environmentally friendly modes of
transport such as cycling, walking and car-sharing.
The
pack gives advice on how employers can encourage their staff to use these more
environmentally friendly travel practices.
