City law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is consulting with more than 100 staff as the firm reviews its support services function.
The review is expected to result in redundancies in the firm’s knowledge management, business development and public relations departments, The Lawyer reports.

A spokesman for Freshfields, which employs more than 2,500 lawyers in 28 offices around the world, said: “Any proposed changes are all about setting the firm up to provide the best service to clients.”
Clifford Chance law firm is also planning to move 300 support services jobs to India in a bid to make cost savings of up to £30m.
