Staff at legal firm DLA can now book yoga teachers or tickets to see U2
through its new concierge service. DLA revamped its extended benefits package
in May this year, adding a concierge service and an employee assistance
programme for UK staff.
The service, provided by Ceridian and piloted in the Birmingham and London
offices, can also be used for household activities, such as buying the weekly
shopping or organising childminders.

Tracey Stewart, DLA’s national HR manager, said, "Benefits packages
assist in recruiting and retaining the best staff and help boost morale.
Recruitment in the legal market is competitive and we strive to be ahead of
others."
So far about 12 per cent of staff have taken advantage of the service which
costs them between £5 to £20 to use. The HR team also offers a free employee
assistance programme to its 2,500 UK employees which is an information service
that helps staff organise their lives outside work.
