A 1-year, full-time Masters programme which combines academic, professional and personal development. For people interested in developing employees, managers, leaders and organisations.
Entry requirements
Normally an honours degree or equivalent. Work experience is an advantage. With significant work experience the degree requirement may be modified.
Modules
There are three central themes: HRD and Organisational Learning, which concentrates on the organisational processes and structures within which managers operate; Management Learning, which focuses on the individual development of managers in both education and work settings, and Consulting, which develops the understanding and capabilities necessary for working with individual and organisational change.

HRD, management education; management development; organisational development and consulting. The programme is also suitable for line managers with a particular concern for the development of their staff.
The MA in Human Resource Development and Consulting is recognised by the ESRC for research studentships on the basis of its research content. UK applicants with a good honours degree can apply for an ESRC 1+3 Studentship which covers all tuition fees and living expenses for the MA and, provisionally, for a further 3 years study for a PhD.
