Further
Tube strikes are predicted after pay talks between union officials and managers
ended without a breakthrough.
The
Rail Maritime and Transport Union and Aslef met with London Underground for
three hours this week – but the parties failed to agree on pay.
It
is expected the unions will call further strikes next week.
Prime
Minister Tony Blair has condemned the strikes, calling them unnecessary and
saying that there is no justification for the industrial action.
