Most employees are proud of their jobs, according to research by communications consultancy CHA.

Its poll of more than 1,000 staff, called Workplace Pride 04, shows that more than half felt either fairly proud or very proud of their job. As for the organisations they work for, 33 per cent were fairly proud and 16 per cent very proud of their employers.
Fewer than one in 10 were fairly or very embarrassed about their jobs or their employer. When asked about their jobs, 65 per cent said their employer had a good reputation, and 48 per cent would recommend their organisation as an employer.
Virgin was cited as the organisation people would be most proud to work for. It attracted twice the number of votes collected by its nearest rivals, Amazon and Tesco.
