The Government has released further advice on the Working Time directive.
In the guidance, the DTI covers topics such as night working, rest breaks,
paid annual leave and frequently asked questions.
It was not clear as Personnel Today went to press whether the Government had
clarified the position over workers who are implicitly required in their
contracts to work extra hours.
In draft guidance these staff were covered by the directive (Personnel Today,
14 March).
