Ruth Iveson, HR manager at Mersey Care NHS Trust, has been shortlisted for Public Servant of the Year in the Guardian newspaper’s Public Services Awards 2004.
Iveson has been instrumental in Mersey Care’s scheme involving service users and carers in the recruitment and selection process. Her work has meant that patients and their families have been able to take part in interview boards for staff at all levels – from catering staff to chief executive.
