Staff at an Essex NHS trust are being psychometrically profiled to see how
they cope with stress.
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust has launched a training programme, in
partnership with Westminster Associates, called ‘Keeping Your Balance’. More
than 1,000 staff have been profiled, which is more than a quarter of the trust.

The programme examines which situations staff find most stressful, and the
types of people they find hardest to deal with. It also explains how people’s
own stressed behaviour can stress their colleagues.
Nick Groves, director of Workforce Development, said: "No two people
react to pressure in the same way. Pressure at home affects how you feel at
work, so it’s important that training recognises home life as well."
