EasyJet has denied reports that hundreds of jobs at Luton
Airport are under threat if the company does not get a cheaper deal on landing
fees.
“We are not pulling out of Luton at all so no jobs are at
risk,” said an EasyJet spokesperson.
“We are increasing our aircraft from 21 to 44 by 2004.
Ideally we would like them to be based at Luton, but even if it does not make
economic sense to do this we will not be pulling our existing fleet out of
Luton.”
