Days lost through workplace absence fell slightly last year, according to
new research.
The CBI’s absence and labour turnover survey – which covers 1.4 million
employees – shows that 6.8 working days were lost per worker in 2002, compared
to 7.1 days in 2001. This suggests a loss of 166 million working days for the
entire UK workforce. However, the final figure was 10 million days less than
the total lost in 2001. www.cbi.org.uk
