More than
half of office workers are too busy to take their full lunch-break entitlement,
according to research.
The
survey, commissioned by Macmillan Cancer Relief for the charity’s World Biggest
Coffee Morning event, shows that 42 per cent of respondents sacrifice breaks to
get work done as quickly as possible and 47 per cent do not take coffee breaks
at all.
Of
those that take breaks, 56 per cent of the hundreds of office workers surveyed
across the UK for the research spend breaks alone and 23 per cent say that
e-mail is their main form of communication with colleagues.
