Bert Massie, chairman of the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) since 1999,
has been re-appointed to the £85,000-a-year post for three more years.
Meanwhile, Stephen Alambritis, a Labour councillor for Merton, has been
appointed as a new DRC commissioner.
Heather Croft has been appointed as business director at the Police National
Legal Database (PNLD). It is an important training and information legal
resource to all forces in England and Wales, as well as other organisations
including British Transport Police, the Ministry of Defence and the National
Criminal Intelligence Service.

Black Mountain, the international HR and staff benefits outsourcer, has
announced the appointment of Nick Chapman (pictured) as business development
director. He will be responsible for the generation of new business and
building on the existing strength of Black Mountain group in global employee
benefits outsourcing.
Stephen Hall has left his position as group HR director at construction
group Costain, following a tenure that saw the company return to profitability.
He was appointed HR director in 2001, after originally joining the company as
an interim executive.
