Mark
Dorsett has been appointed UK HR manager for Caterpillar Logistics Services, a
subsidiary of Caterpillar. In his new role, he will lead the HR team in
providing a full service to the expanding company across seven sites in the UK.
Dorsett joins from distribution company Hagemeyer, where he was head of HR for
the Newey & Eyre subsidiary.

The
Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) has appointed Jill Rogerson as its
head of HR. She takes up the role full-time following an eight-month secondment
to the IDeA. During that period, she headed up the HR department and developed
the frameworks that have strengthened the government agency at a time when it
was growing rapidly. In her new role, Rogerson will provide HR services to
other central bodies, the Employer’s Organisation (EO) and the regulatory
services body, LACORS. She will also work closely with the Local Government
Association (LGA). Prior to her secondment, she was group HR manager at
Buckinghamshire County Council.
Parsons
Brinckerhoff, the engineering and design consultancy, has appointed Richard
Martin as HR director. He joins the management board and will have
responsibility for 2,000 staff. He will also be in charge of the group’s career
development programme. Martin has more than 20 years’ experience. Prior to his
appointment, he was HR director at Invensys Climate Control.
