Skanska Construction has appointed Trisha Jones as group HR director to
spearhead its focus on attracting, developing and retaining the best people in
the construction industry. Jones, who brings more than 20 years of successful
human resource management experience from the electrical and financial services
industries, will be responsible for developing Skanska employees to ensure they
reach their full potential.
Lever Fabergé has announced the appointment of Claire Thompson as its new
human resources director. She was previously HR director for Unilever de Mexico
and has also worked for Elida Fabergé. She was previously responsible for the
entire HR function in Mexico, covering 5,000 staff. Her major achievement was
overseeing the organisational and cultural integration of Unilever de Mexico
and Mexican Bestfoods.
Helen Lancaster has joined drinks company Allied Domecq Wines & Spirits
as the new HR development manager, responsible for Europe. Before getting her
new job at Domecq she was training and development manager at Conoco Phillips.
London Electricity Group has appointed Helen Shaw as its new HR director,
and she will also sit on the group executive committee. She will be responsible
for developing a new people management strategy which will focus on
integration, change management, learning and employee relations. Shaw was
previously an independent HR consultant and prior to that, she worked at Arthur
Andersen.
