L’Oral, the cosmetics group, has appointed Geoff Skingsley to the position of executive vice-president of HR, based in Paris. He succeeds Francois Vachey, who has retired after 14 years in the position.
Roffey Park, the executive education and research organisation, has made three new senior appointments. Amanda Humphrey joins as director of resources and company secretary. Diana Marsland joins as director of marketing and business development, and Robert Kinnison joins as director of finance.
The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) has recruited Rhiannon Chapman, former HR director of the London Stock Exchange, to look strategically at how the skills and training of those working in aerospace companies across the UK can be improved. Her priorities will be working with companies to improve workplace training and enhancing graduate recruitment.
Channel 4 has announced the appointment of Diane Herbert as its new director of HR, replacing Peter Meier, who is stepping down after four years with the company. Herbert, who is currently vice-president of HR for The Walt Disney Company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will begin in her new role in March. She will report to chief executive Andy Duncan.
London law firm Bircham Dyson Bell has appointed Richard Walden as its new HR director. His role will include devising and implementing HR strategies and policies that are consistent with an expanding firm. He arrives from CB Richard Ellis, the global property adviser and consultancy firm, where he was HR director in the UK.
