The
Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has
appointed Ruth Davies (pictured) as its new HR and communications director.
Davies was formerly head of HR strategy at the Environment Agency – a role she
had held since December 2000.
Richmond
Ice Cream, the UK’s
largest ice cream manufacturer, has increased its HR department with the
appointment of Rachael Winship.
She joins as HR manager and is responsible for the operations teams at the Leeming Bar site in North
Yorkshire, which has 340 employees.
Tote
bookmakers has announced that Peter Burke has been appointed as HR director.
Burke will be a member of the organisation’s executive team. He joins from Littlewoods, where he worked
since 1988.

Steve
Lazenby has joined the
market leading hygiene provider, JohnsonDiversey,
as senior HR consultant. He was previously divisional HR manager with contract
caterer Aramark.
Waqar Azmi has been appointed as the key government
adviser on diversity from next month. The position will support departments and
agencies in taking work forward on diversity in the Civil Service. Azmi was head of equality and
diversity at TMP Worldwide, an HR communications business.
