Morag Fox joins BCA as HR director
Despite the pressure of a busy life in HR, and not having as much time to
read as she would like, Morag Fox still squeezes in as many Faye Kellerman
novels as she can. If she did have more time, however, she would be in the
ideal job – as HR director at book club BCA.
She joins from Internet agency Razorfish Europe where she was responsible
for 600 staff across eight European countries. BCA has 1,000 employees.
Fox, who has a postgraduate diploma in personnel management, is looking
forward to introducing new ideas to the BCA team, "My reason for joining
was to help put in place a new HR strategy that truly underpins the company
business strategy," she explains.
"I like a challenge especially when HR can really change the status quo
and provide the mechanisms for people to add value to the business. It’s even
better when they enjoy the buzz they get from doing that."
Fox is a member of BCA’s executive board and reports directly to the chief
executive. She is enthusiastic about working at the head of an HR team where
she can pass on some of her experience. "I like coaching and mentoring
others who work with me in HR and feel particularly satisfied when those
individuals build successful careers of their own," she says.
She has a young son and, away from work, enjoys spending time with her
family and close friends.
