Michael
Portillo has experienced what most people’s working lives are like after
swapping places with a Liverpool single mother of four for a week for the
purposes of a television programme.
Portillo
worked part-time in an Asda supermarket, looked after the children, and did the
shopping with a budget of just £80. The Tory MP admitted he the experience was stressful and exhausted him.
