Nearly half of print workers have suffered from a skin complaint, according
to the HSE.
A total of 41 per cent of those who replied to the survey said they had
suffered from such a complaint at some time, while 11 per cent had a current
problem.
Most problems affected the fingers, the webs between them and the back of
the hand – despite using gloves.
Those working with printing presses showed the greatest tendency towards
skin problems, it added.
