A former prison officer has claimed she was bullied at work because of her good looks, and is seeking compensation from the government, according to a report in the Telegraph.
Amitjo Kajla is seeking a ruling for constructive unfair dismissal after leaving her job at Brinsford young offenders institution, West Midlands, in April 2008.
She claims she was forced to resign after ‘a string of incidents’.
A former colleague of Kajla accused her of dressing provocatively and allowing her home address to be common knowledge among inmates.
Stephen Roberts, representing Kajla, said she had been the victim of bullying.
The court heard that in one incident, Kajla was deliberately locked behind gates and shouted at aggressively.
The case continues.
