The UKCC has agreed a strategy for extending the involvement of the public
in its work.
By using the public perspective to inform and influence its decisions the
UKCC says it will ensure its policies reflect public interest and expectations.
It plans to up public input by:
– Improving access to information about the organisation
– Seeking the involvement of under-represented groups
– Providing support for those who do get involved

By December it aims to have set policies for appointing lay members to its
committees and steering groups, developed a training programme and have a
support network in place.
