Racing team revs up leader training

The
BAR racing team is rolling out a leadership development programme to help it
compete at the highest level during the gruelling Formula One season.

A
four-module leadership programme is being launched to include all managers
within BAR, including technical teams, race crews and marketing teams. It will
help team members to define their contribution as managers rather than
technical specialists, and to promote coaching.

The
course, devised by consultancy Performance First Ltd, will combine formal
classroom training with e-learning.

The
team, which is represented on the track by British driver Jenson Button and
Canadian driver Jacques Villeneuve, is currently fifth in the Formula One world
championship.
